The Imperial city of Hue had some suprises for me. The weather was not the greatest but it did not rain so the images are not too bad.
The slideshow represents the old quarter.
Unlike the forbidden city in Beijing, this place is still crumbling and inundated with foliage and vines. It gave the place a wonderful historic feel and to see structures with their cracks and weathered stone created the mood of a movie set. I spent hours here roaming around old buildings. Not too many visitors were in the compound so it all felt very personal. Hue was great to visit but a few days is all I needed.
