The weather in Hanoi has been very pleasant and the city has surprised me with its strong colonial architecture mixed with traditional indochinese pagodas.
The atmosphere in the city is very energised and some areas, such as the old quarter, can be insanely busy. Then when arriving at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, there was total peace and calm. The air is relatively clear considering the number of mopeds and cars on the road. At one restaurant I met the american owner who lived in Hanoi for 5 years. I asked … Many changes around?
